Experience:
I have been playing guitar for ten years, and teaching for five. I am extremely passionate when it comes to music, sharing this with others gives me great satisfaction; I have worked/engineered in professional studios, and perform with my bands on a regular basis. Having performed in numerous bands over the years around the country, this has given me a wealth of experience.
Teaching Style:
Teaching what the student wants to learn is very important to me, while simultaneously ensuring that you are becoming an accomplished musician, I believe above anything else that learning should be enjoyable and fulfilling, and I encourage students to find their own individual style of playing. Watching my students achieve their goals is something I take great pride in. You can be sure that no one lesson will be the same.
Syllabi:
I can follow any syllabus up to grade 5.
Specialties:
I am primarily a rock guitarist, but play blues, funk, metal, and acoustic also. I specialise in improvisation, theory, song writing techniques, composition and music history. My main influences are artists such as Jimmy Page, Hendrix, John Frusciante, Tom Morello, Frank Zappa, Tony Iommi and Van Halen.

Teaching location:
I am based in Headingley and am able to teach from home. I am also a travelling teacher and can travel some distance. (Travel expenses may apply)
