Experience:
I have studied the Electric Guitar in great detail from an early age and have always had a passion for music.
From the age of 16 I have taught all ages from 5-40 and take pride in passing on knowledge.
I have hosted 'open mic' nights at various Leeds music venues, recorded and engineered in professional studios and I perform live with two bands on a regular basis.
Teaching Style:
I have a relaxed, flexible approach to teaching. If the student aims to master the instrument, learn the riffs of the guitar greats, play your favourite songs, play in a band, write your own songs or just play for fun, from complete beginner to advanced, I cover all aspects of guitar playing.
I set out achievable goals for the student with a realistic time line and design specific exercises to help the student progress.
I teach many styles including Rock, Blues, Pop, Metal,Funk and Acoustic. I also teach many techniques such as 'Tapping', 'Legato', 'Sweep Picking' and 'Bottle Neck'.

Compositional techniques and recording techniques. Popular Music History, Electric Guitar techniques and advice for buying guitar gear.
Teaching location:
I am located in Menston (LS29) and I am willing to travel to areas throughout Leeds, Ilkley, Menston, Guiseley, Yeadon, Rawdon, Kirkstall, Baildon and will consider some distances.
