Guitar Pro 6 - Tablature Software
The latest and greatest release from Arobas Music. Guitar Pro 6 is an exceptional piece of software designed for all musicians at any level. It is a useful tool for those who wish to learn how to play their favourite songs and also to compose/arrange their own songs.
The Interface
Choose your display options from the screen or page mode, horizontal or vertical scrolling, monotrack, multitrack, and full-screen mode, with 25-800% zooming.
There are 6 retractable panels to the left of the score: Editing, Instrument, Audio, Mastering, Chords, and Lyrics. These complement the intuitive design of Guitar Pro 6.
Editing
You can add all of the common musical symbols to your score as well as those that are guitar specific. There is a vast amount of notation elements that enable you to accurately notate your scores.
Summary of the Notation Elements
Dynamic, grace note, staccato, fade in, left-hand and right-hand fingering, brush, pick strokes, ghost note, accented notes, muffled note, let ring, harmonics, tapping, slap, hammer-on / pull-off, bend, tremolo bar, slides, vibrato, wide vibrato, trill, tremolo picking, palm mute, multirests, double dotting, n-tuplets, fermata, double accidentals, left-hand tapping, rasgueado, arpeggio, rythmic « slash » notation, ornaments, extended barré…; and of course texts, lyrics, chord diagrams...
Customize Your Score
Based on the classic or jazz styles, you can set 70 different parameters, configure the outlook of your scores exactly as you wish, and get professional-level paper printouts. The different types of notation are all sychronized. This means that you can type onto the TAB section of the score and notes will automatically appear on the stave and chord slashes as well.

Audio
The 'Realistic Sound Engine'
You can listen to your scores being played back to you using the 'Realistic Sound Engine' (RSE), which includes the realistic studio recordings of instruments, as well as some effect modelisations that you can use to customise your sounds with. These are the result of years of research.
Optimized Playback Options
The score will scroll automatically during playback, with a highlighted cursor that follows every note being played. You can adjust the tempo, and loop any part of a song. The 'Speed Trainer' will accelerate your chosen loop by gradually increasing the tempo. This is great for practicing a solo or those tricky guitar riffs!
All of the effects specific to the guitar (e.g., bend, slide, ghost notes, etc.) are rendered into the playback, as well as the various possible playing styles – pickstroking, fingerpicking or slapping, etc.
Tools
Guitar Pro is a true workshop for guitarists. You get chord and scale libraries, tuner, metronome and a virtual fretboard and keyboard.
Diagram Generator
You can request any chord in any tuning and all possible shapes and fingerings will be displayed in the diagram generator:
Scale Engine
The scale engine presents a large directory of scales, from the most common to the most exotic. Any scale you select can be displayed on the fretboard or keyboard to aid you in writing your score, or to just simply learn your scales. The search function also allows you to quickly find out what scale is being used in all or part of the score.
